Kuchař, Filip ; Trojan, Václav (advisor) ; Voda, Jan (referee)
The focus of the presented bachelor thesis is the position of preparatory classes in the Czech system of education. The thesis also tries to answer whether the aim of the existing preparatory classes is in accordance with their legislative anchoring in the Education Act. The work primarily focuses on preparatory classes in the view of their organizational incorporation into the system of education of the Czech Republic with respect to meeting the objectives and outcomes of education. It offers an outline of historical development of preparatory classes in the Czech Republic and a survey of foreign systems of education, all this with the intention of comparing what measures are taken in different countries to prepare children for compulsory education. The main objective of the work is to offer insight into existing preparatory classes and into their role in the Czech system of education. This is based on a survey among stakeholders responsible for the form of these preparatory classes - school administration, establisher of the school, parents of pre-school children attending these classes. Severová, Veronika ; Valentová, Hana (advisor) ; Presslerová, Pavla (referee)
I create a diploma thesis with a combination of quantitative and qualitative research, which examines the process of integrating children into the environment of kindergartens. In this work, I comprehensively find out how the kindergarten team participates in the process of inclusion of socially disadvantaged children. In the theoretical part I characterize social pedagogy and groups of socially disadvantaged children, including the legislative definition. I mention documents relating to pre-school education and mention counseling services that serve teachers, parents and children in the field of social disadvantage. I divide the practical part into two phases of research. For the first phase of the empirical part, I choose quantitative research, where I find out by the method of a questionnaire survey, general information of teachers in the given issue, basic orientation in school documents and different methods of work. In the second phase of the practical part, in the form of qualitative research, I create unstructured interviews. Through the interview, I supplement the information obtained from the questionnaire survey and obtain comprehensive data on the process of integrating socially disadvantaged children into kindergarten. By setting the main goals of the diploma thesis, I find out the...
Child from socially disadvantaged environment at kindergarten school
HOŘEJŠÍ, Jindra
The aim of the thesis is to find out, how to work in a kindergarten with children from socially disadvantaged backgrounds, so as to achieve the greatest possible overall development. The theoretical part is devoted to socialization and its impact on the child's personality. Another topic of the theoretical part is the family and its influence on a child. The last part of the theoretical work is dedicated to socially disadvantaged backgrounds, classification, description and last but not least the actual work of teachers working with socially disadvantaged children in a kindergarten. The qualitative research is used in order to achieve the research goal. It issue is a long-term observation of five children coming from socially disadvantaged backgrounds to the kindergarten where I work. Based on the observations, case studies were made, which were guiding answers of research questions. Watching these five children confirmed the specific manifestations of children from socially disadvantaged backgrounds, which were described in the literature. Namely: poor verbal and communication skills, specific symptoms associated with the value orientation of children interested in sport and physical games at the expense of resting activities. Based on described areas it was possible to establish effective educational methods for socially weak children.

Ensuring Access to Basic Health Care for Children and Young People from Socially Disadvantaged Backgrounds
Kadlecová, Michaela ; Tomeš, Igor (advisor) ; Vojtíšek, Petr (referee)
(in English): The thesis deals with the current state of the functioning of the health care system for children and youth in the Czech Republic with regard to the possible consequences of failure to provide basic health care resulting from difficult life situations, and therefore closely related to the social sphere. The main objective is to explore whether the current system is functional enough that there are no socially disadvantaged individuals "falling through a net". The theoretical part deals with the lives of socially disadvantaged individuals, with a focus on the family and its specifics. Furthermore the work deals with pediatric and dental preventive and curative health care. In addition to discussing basic parameters of the care, there are analyzed the risks for the eventual malpractice. Solution of the research uses a qualitative method using interviews with instructions. Not only was the research sample composed of individuals with experience with social disadvantage - particularly parents with children from shelter homes where one can assume such experience, but also practicing doctors who come into the very first contact with children the most often - pediatricians and dentists so that the view on the situation is as complex as possible.
